Background Remover for Plain Backgrounds

This page removes a plain, solid background — white studio backgrounds, plain product shots, simple logos — and gives you a transparent PNG. It is not an AI cutout tool for hair, fur, or busy backgrounds, and it does not pretend to be. For plain backgrounds it is fast, free, and private because the pixels never leave your device.

Drag and drop images here, or click to choose files

Up to 20 images per batch. For dozens of images, run another batch of 20.

Output is PNG with transparency. This works on plain solid backgrounds only.

Honest limit: plain solid backgrounds only. Complex backgrounds need AI removal, which is not in this v1 page.

How to use this tool

  1. Drop up to 20 images with a plain background.
  2. Pick the background colour to remove, usually white, and set tolerance. Higher tolerance removes more near-white shades, but can eat into light parts of the subject.
  3. Download the transparent PNGs one by one or as a ZIP, and check edges before publishing.

Why this page is separate

Each tool on this site has its own page, its own title, and its own explanation, so search engines can match a specific search — for example, this exact job — to this exact page, instead of to one generic homepage. That is also why the steps and questions above are written for this tool only, not copied from the other tools.

Will this remove a busy photo background?

No. This tool removes pixels close to one solid colour. For a person in a busy street photo, you need an AI background remover, which is a separate v2 tool.

Why do edges look rough sometimes?

Plain-background removal has no edge feathering or AI refinement in v1. A slightly higher tolerance helps on off-white backgrounds, but can also remove light highlights.

What format do I get?

PNG only, because only PNG in this tool keeps transparency reliably for download.
